WELCOME TO
THE PINKSTER TOURNAMENT
A LGBTQIA+ tennis tournament in Amsterdam that promotes inclusivity, diversity, and equality through our love for tennis and the power to bring people from our community together.
This annual tennis tournament is not just a sporting event; it’s a celebration of love, resilience, and the power of community. The Pinkster Tournament commits to breaking down societal barriers, creating a safe space where the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies can come together, not just to play tennis, but to connect, inspire and uplift one another.
During the Pentecost Weekend (17 till 20th May), The Pinkster Tournament welcomes around 300 participants from all over the world and various corners of society to showcase their talent, proving that excellence in sports knows no prejudice.
As a vibrant participant in the GLTA (Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance) circuit, our tournament proudly stands as a beacon within a dynamic global community, uniting over 10.000 tennis players across more than 70 competitive events worldwide.
Our collaboration extends beyond the court, as we proudly join forces with Pride and Sports. An organisation that strives to establish a safe sports environment, emphasizing inclusivity regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, or sex characteristics. Together we aim to enable individuals to be authentic in all aspects of life.
Join The Pinkster Tournament’s tradition of global LGBTQIA+ support. Each year, our outreach program promotes a cause fighting for equal rights within our community. We raise funds to show solidarity and offer support to our LGBTQIA+ family worldwide. Help us make a difference and build a more inclusive world.

Pinkster trophy
In the spirit of LGBTQIA+ visibility in sports the Pinkster Tournament rewards a remarkable participant for their achievements every year. The Pinkster Trophy symbolises LGBTQIA+ empowerment.
The trophy was initiated by Ed van Betuw, one of the founders of the Pinkster Tournament:
“The trophy emphasizes the aim of the tournament for inclusion and gay empowerment in sports. Everyone, regardless their gender, age or level of play can win the trophy.”
Artist Berenice Witsen Elias designed the Pinkster Trophy.
